Sleepless night for me to try to snap meteorites. Around 2:15 AM, I went on my favorite spot (The Hohenzollern castle) which I thought was relatively untouched by light pollution.
Two disappointments awaited me: 1) the use of ultra wide angle and the castle in the dark was terrible, we see nothing at all, 2) there was much more light pollution than I thought!
Looking around a bit on the spot I was I finally found this tree that stood out from the horizon and the surrounding hills.
Tripod, focus to infinity, manual focus, 17mm, f/4, 20“, iso3200, burst mode, and with the remote control “blocked” I continually took pictures for about 1 hour and a half.
To wait, I put a blanket on the ground and while the camera was working, I enjoyed watching the stars!
